Today, the Army Run was held in Ottawa which hosted 18,000 runners doing a 5 Km race and a 1/2 marathon in order to raise awareness of the military, promote fitness, and raise funds. Also participating are a number of military who have been injured and/or lost limbs in the line of duty.
My favourite photo, however, has little to do with the excellent work done by the organizers but of this man, who ran as part of the Soldier On contingent, who carried his little dog the entire distance (I also have a photo of him at the start line).
