Today was the day the media was to show up at Vintage Wings of Canada (VWoC) to get all excited for the airshow for the 15th & 16th of September where VWoC would have their own aircraft flying and on display as well as play host to a number of other aircraft including the Snowbirds….

There was a ceremony at the National War Memorial today (19th August) remembering those Canadians who died or suffered through the raid on Dieppe, France, 70 years ago. National Peacekeepers’ Day was observed today in Ottawa at the Reconciliation Monument in Ottawa. In attendance were military peacekeepers as well as representation from the RCMP and other police forces who have had members serve in a UN Peacekeeping function. Rather than wreaths, flowers are placed in tubes in front of one of the walls…
