Reconciliation Monumentt in Ottawa
Flowers laid in tribute to fallen peacekeepers at the Reconciliation Monument in Ottawa.

National Peacekeepers’ Day was observed today in Ottawa at the Reconciliation Monument in Ottawa. In attendance were military peacekeepers as well as representation from the RCMP and other police forces who have had members serve in a UN Peacekeeping function. Rather than wreaths, flowers are placed in tubes in front of one of the walls of the monument. Speakers were A/Comm Graham Muir from the RCMP, Wayne MacCulloch (Peacekeeping Veteran), Ray Pacquette (Peacekeeping Veteran), and Royal Galipeau (MP representing Veterans Affairs).
