Over 24,000 people piled into TD Place in the pouring rain as the Ottawa Redblacks once again grasped defeat from the jaws of victory in losing to Hamilton 39-36 in double overtime. For most of the game, Ottawa held the lead but lost their advantage in the 4th quarter allowing Hamilton to tie. A fumbled snap at the 1 yard line (1st and goal) seemed to take some of the steam out of the Ottawa team allowing Hamilton to outscore them 21-6 in the 2nd half.
Notwithstanding the loss or the weather, it was a good game which is what fans pay for.
