On 01 May, 2014, the veterans of the Battle of the Atlantic were honoured at a Gala Dinner hosted by the Naval Association of Canada, with the support of the Royal Canadian Navy, and held in Canadian War Museum. The evening was hosted by Tom Clark with words from the U.S. Ambassador Bruce Heyman, National Defence Minister the Hon. Rob Nicholson, and the Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Vice-Admiral Mark Norman.
